Family Pictures 2017

It was time to update our family photos and get a portrait on the wall that included Maverick in it.  My first plan was to have the photoshoot at our new home but after pushing the photoshoot back twice due to everything not being complete on the remodel I decided to go ahead with a different plan.  The photoshoot was taken in a field with the most dreamy light and I just love how they turned out.  The kids sure do grow fast, I can't believe how big Ryden and Violet look.

Birthday Party for sister!

      Violet requested a trolls dance party with her gal pals this year.  I must confess she has never had a "friends" party.  I typically just organize a family party with all her cousins and grandparents and call it good.  For her 7th Birthday she begged for a party with her girlfriends so I decided to make that happen for her.  Since we are still displaced and don't really have a home we decided to have it at a local warehouse called Port.  This place is ideal for a party or event if you don't want to deal with the mess and everything that comes with hosting at your house.  Another super convenient part about throwing it at Port is that Sierra Party Rental is literally right next door for all your party rental needs.  I definitely took advantage of that. 

      All and all the party was a success and the girls had a blast.  I loved watching Violet with all her sweet friends celebrating.

Motherhood

To me Motherhood is full of mess, happiness, joy, tears, worry, prayer, and so much Love.  My heart bursts with thankfulness that I have been given these treasures to raise.  

Oh Ryden, you were the one who first made me a Mama.  I had no idea what the gift of motherhood was really about until you came along.  I feel so blessed and honored to be given the privilege to raise up such a fine young boy.  You love Jesus with your whole heart, you are a hard worker, love to be goofy and laugh, have a gift of music, a natural leader, and constantly teach your father and I what it means to be slow to anger.  Love you Red!  Thanks for making me a Mama.

Violet, my wildflower.  You are a true gift from God, the daughter I always dreamed of having.  I refer to you as my tom-princess, always keeping up with the boys but never neglecting your girly side.  You are our little prayer warrior, twirling and dancing where ever you go, and you love to write songs about Jesus.  From a young age your love language has been very evident (touch and words of affirmation).  I pray you stay confident and brave in everything you do and find your worth in the Lord.  Love you sweet Violet!  I'm honored to be your Mama. 

Maverick, "Bubbers" as Violet calls you. You are truly a bundle of JOY.  Your smile is contagious and everywhere we go you draw people to you.  Our nights still may be sleepless but I wouldn't trade you for the world.  I am so happy we decided to have another baby.  This past Mother's Day we dedicated you to the Lord and wrote the following vows to you.  

Maverick as we dedicate you to the Lord we commit to guide and model Christ like character daily.  We will strive to be parents and siblings that point you towards Jesus so when you are grown you will have Him close to your heart. We pray you always find your worth and help in the Lord.  Maverick, we are honored the Lord has entrusted us to be your parents and commit to do our best to raise you in His will. 

I know they say the days are long and the years are short.  So with that in mind my prayer is in these short years I can do my best to raise you three to be extraordinary adults who love Jesus with your whole heart.

Documenting spring.

I love spring time.  

All the wildflowers bring my heart such joy and entering a new season is always so refreshing.  We recently spent a Sunday afternoon hiking and admiring all the flowers, the weather couldn't have been more perfect that day.

New adventures New Home

Hello all. 

 Just quick update on our current adventure.  We sold our home in February and it was a bit unplanned.  Jason ran across the perfect buyer and it was all over from there.  In the mean time we were living in our travel trailer for almost 12 weeks but currently upgraded to a rental home (YES).  I never thought I would be so excited to do laundry again. You see we found a rad farm style home on 5 acres but the buying process has been in the works since December. We are really learning to practice our patience over here.  The process seems to be coming to an end and fingers crossed we will start making upgrades mid May.  

I am so blown away how the Lord has provided for us on this journey.  I still can't believe this treasure of a farmhouse is going to be ours.  My design heart is so excited to fix this place up and make it our home.  The boys on the other hand are most excited about having room to build a dirt bike track. 

On another design note I wanted to give a shout out to Barn Light Electric.  I ran across their lights while we were remodeling our other home we recently sold.  My most favorite thing about the company is that they make their product right here in the USA. We were recently featured on their blog, click here to check it out.  If you have never heard of them and are into farmhouse style go check them out.  I already have my eye on a light I want to incorporate into our soon to be farmhouse fixer upper.
