Food Styling Workshop
Recently I flew all the way to Scottsdale Arizona to attend a food styling workshop put on by the bloguettes. The workshop was taught by Constance Higley and did not disappoint. Being the introvert that I am I was a little nervous attending this workshop all by myself but I put on my big girl pants and did it! You know what, it wasn't that bad putting myself out there and doing something alone . It is always good to learn something new or just be inspired and refreshed. Below are a few pictures from the day of. I think my favorite part was being surrounded by other people taking pictures of pretty things. Sometimes I feel like a goofball taking pictures of food, pretty table settings, flowers, ect. I felt totally in my element!
The workshop was broken up into three sessions where Constance taught and demonstrated then we were released to style and photograph. It was so fun, we were provided with beautiful and delicious food to work with. There was actually a chef there making us fresh food for each session.... um how cool is that. At the workshop a lot of local venders gave the event tons of cool props for us to use like napkins, flatware, coasters, spoons, cutting boards, you name it. It was a dream.
After the workshop we all sat down and shared a yummy dinner catered by the crepe house.
Boy oh boy was this an amazing day. Below are some i phone pics I snapped as well. I plan to play around with food styling in the future especially with the Holidays coming.
You know what I love most about food, it brings people together.
It causes us to GATHER and connect with one another!
What a beautful thing that is.
